Dignowity Hill and the Historic East Side
The East Side is home to San Antonio’s largest concentration of Black residents. Its anchor is Dignowity Hill, a neighborhood of Victorian homes where renovation has been moving fast, just a couple of miles from downtown.
The housing mixes Victorians, shotgun houses and mid-century homes, and a lot of them are being opened up to the studs. That means debris the City’s bulky program refuses outright.
