Pricing & Tax
How is a photo quote priced?
Each item in your photo is matched to the published San Antonio catalog and added up. For big jobs the quote also calculates a truck-fill price and uses the lower total. You see it before you book.
What is the smallest job you’ll take?
The minimum order is $75. A single recliner ($98) or a twin mattress ($82) is already above it.
Why is there sales tax on junk removal in Texas?
Texas law treats garbage and rubbish removal as a taxable real property service (Tax Code §151.0101; 34 TAC §3.356). It applies to every hauler, and it’s charged on the full job, including disposal.
Which tax rate applies to my address?
Inside the City of San Antonio and the surrounding cities it’s 8.25%. In unincorporated Bexar County within the VIA transit district, and at JBSA-Randolph, it’s 6.75%. The rate follows the pickup address, so two homes in one ZIP code can differ.
Do stairs or a long carry change the price?
No. The flat price covers carrying the item from wherever it is, including upstairs rooms.
Is same-day more expensive?
No. When a crew has a same-day opening, the price matches any other day.
Military Move-Outs
Can you clear my home before a PCS housing inspection?
Yes. Tell us your inspection or report date when you book, and we’ll schedule the pickup a few days before it.
Do you work on base?
Most move-out jobs are in off-post homes and apartments, which is where we operate. Pickups on an installation need base access arranged in advance — mention it when you book.
Can my landlord book the pickup after I’ve left?
Yes. A landlord or property manager can send photos, approve the quote and give the crew access.
What We Haul
Do you take tires?
Yes. A single tire is $22 and a set of four $87.
Can you remove a backyard shed?
Yes — a small shed, taken down, is $186. Larger outbuildings are priced from photos.
Do you haul brush and yard waste?
Yes, at $88 per cubic yard. Branches and cuttings can go on the same trip as bulky items.
Will you take a hot tub?
Yes. A standard hot tub is $322, taken apart as needed and hauled away.
Where does everything end up?
Usable furniture goes to donation, appliances to refrigerant recovery and metal recycling, electronics to recyclers, and the rest to commercial landfills.
City Rules & Service Area
How often does the City of San Antonio pick up bulky items?
Twice a year for bulky items and twice for brush, scheduled by area. A door hanger announces your week, and piles must be out by 7 a.m. that Monday and stay under eight cubic yards.
Can a hauler use the City drop-off centers?
No. The Bitters, Frio City Road, Culebra and Rigsby centers accept residents only, and materials from commercial haulers are turned away. We take loads to commercial landfills.
I live in Alamo Ranch — does the City’s program cover me?
Much of Alamo Ranch, Timberwood Park and Cibolo Canyons is unincorporated, outside the City’s service. Check with your HOA or trash provider; we serve those addresses at the same flat prices.
How far out do you go?
