San Antonio Pricing

How much does junk removal cost in San Antonio?

The minimum order is $75, and the quote you get already includes everything — labor, loading, disposal and tax.

The two ways a job gets priced

Name the things and you get item pricing — a fixed price per piece. If you can’t, you get truck-load pricing: you’re paying for the space it takes up.

How fullPriceRoughly
1/4 truck$241a small bedroom — bed, dresser, a few boxes
3/8 truck$338a single-car garage’s back wall
1/2 truck$431the most common cleanout size we run
5/8 truck$513a two-car garage, or a small apartment
3/4 truck$587a garage plus a patio
7/8 truck$661a full two-bedroom clear-out
Full truck$732a whole-house load

What actually moves the number here

Less than people expect. Stairs don’t change your price, and neither does same-day. What moves it is weight, volume, and where the load has to go.

Twice a year, by door hanger

The City collects bulky items on a twice-yearly schedule announced by door hanger, capped around eight cubic yards. Miss your window and the next one is months away.

Short hauls, sensible volume pricing

Two commercial landfills sit inside the service footprint, so the drive from most of Bexar County is short — which keeps truck-load jobs here competitive.

Dense material

Concrete, tile, dirt and roofing price by weight rather than by the space they take up, so a small masonry pile can outweigh a living room.

The twice-a-year window, and what to do between them

If your collection window is coming up, the pile fits inside it, and it can sit at the curb until then, the City service is free and worth using.

The rest of the year, there isn’t a curbside option. Lease turnovers, closings, estate clear-outs and post-renovation debris don’t wait six months, and none of it comes out of the house on the City programme — that part is always yours unless you hire someone.

San Antonio pricing FAQs

Does the price change across Bexar County?

No. Downtown, the Pearl, Alamo Heights, Stone Oak and the suburbs all use the same list.

When is the City bulky pickup?

Twice a year, announced by door hanger for your area, with a size cap. We’re the option for the months in between.

Do you carry it out?

Yes. Stairs, garages and back rooms are included — you don’t move anything to the curb.

What won’t you take?

Paint, chemicals, pressurized propane, asbestos and medical waste go through their own routes.

Is Texas sales tax added on top of the quote?

It’s already inside the quote. Junk removal is taxable in Texas, so rather than adding a line at the door we build it into the flat number you see — and the rate differs inside the city limits versus unincorporated Bexar County, which we handle for you.

Do I need to be home?

Not if the crew can reach it — a driveway in Alamo Heights, a garage code in Stone Oak, a side gate off the alley in Southtown. Photos of the cleared area come through when it’s done.

How much does junk removal cost in San Antonio?

Single items are priced from the catalog — a sofa is $126, a queen mattress $103, a refrigerator $164 and a 42–65 inch TV $68. Bigger jobs go by truck-fill, from $241 for a quarter truck up to $732 for a full one, with a $75 minimum. Texas sales tax is added where applicable.

Do you charge sales tax on junk removal in Texas?

Yes. Texas taxes garbage and rubbish removal as a real property service, so the tax applies to every hauler. The rate is 8.25% inside the City of San Antonio and the surrounding cities, and 6.75% in unincorporated Bexar County within the VIA transit district.

Why not just wait for the City’s bulky pickup?

If your door hanger is due soon and the pile fits the eight-cubic-yard, curbside-only rules, the City program is a good deal. It runs twice a year, though, won’t take construction debris, and never comes inside. We’re for the other weeks, the heavy pieces still in the house, and addresses outside the City’s program.

Can you clear my rental before a PCS housing inspection?

Yes. Give us your inspection date when you book and we’ll schedule the pickup a few days ahead of it, off-post around Lackland, Fort Sam Houston and Randolph.

Do you serve Schertz, Helotes, Converse and the other nearby towns?

Yes. The service area runs about 30 miles from downtown and includes all of Bexar County, so Schertz, Cibolo, Converse, Universal City, Helotes, Fair Oaks Ranch and Garden Ridge get the same flat prices.

Will you take construction debris?

Yes — the City won’t collect it at the curb, and its drop-off centers cap it at one cubic yard for residents. We price it by the cubic yard or by truck-fill; see the construction debris page.
